Dear Kirk Music Renter:
Circumstances have made it necessary for us to close our Chandler store
this month. Kirk Violins of Montana will continue making selling, and
repairing instruments as normal.
Our store manager Fred Nebel will be taking over service of our rental
fleet. (See Mr. Nebel’s phone number and address below.) We appreciate
your patronage and want you to know that if you are currently renting
an instrument from us that we are prepared to offer you three options.
(If you are no longer renting from us then please disregard the following
section.)
Option A: Continue renting as usual with rental support via Fred Nebel.
Option B: Return your rental in good condition and cease renting from
us with no further obligation.
Option C: Buy out the remaining value of your instrument ( The Instrument
outfit price minus current equity held.) at 50 cents on the dollar from
Kirk Music Co.
For example: If you rented a 4/4 violin outfit for 2 years @ $28/month.
You would have $414.00 in equity available. ((rent - $5 maintenance/mo.)
x 24mo. x 75% equity)
If the violin outfit was worth $900.00 then you could buy out the outfit
for ($900.00-$414.00) x .5 = $243.00 plus any outstanding rent or late
fees owed.
If you are renting under the rent to own program then you may buy out
your contract out for one half the remaining balance.
Option C is only available until June 15th, 2008. After that time your
plan will default to options A or B. All other rental contract stipulations
shall remain in force as long as you continue renting from Kirk Music.
Regardless of which option you choose we want you to know that we will
continue offering maintenance, trade ups for fractional rental instruments,
and honoring trades for instruments that you purchased from Kirk Music
towards new instruments you may wish to purchase from Kirk Violins in
the future. We will also honor any warranties on instruments purchased
